Smiths in Space (A Workplace Comedy)  

Summary  

Smiths in Space (A Workplace Comedy) is a board game based off of the video game Space Station 13 and the board game Shadow Hunters. In this hidden role game, play as a group of people working on a spaceship together to figure out who is the anomaly trying to destroy the crew and to take them out. This wacky game will keep you on your toes as you give your friends side eye. Because are there really who they say they are?

What I Did

For this project, I worked in a small group where we made the rules together. From there, we brainstormed card ideas together for abilities, items, and surveillance. I then made a board and made some of the card templates and implemented the cards in. I also did some art which wasn’t great but I’ve learned quite a bit since then!

What I Learned

This was the first time I made a board game with a group which was an interesting experience. I also learned a lot about playtesting and how to use the playtests to then balance the cards. I also learned about making cards themselves and the pieces to accompany them.
