Kanpani Girls Re:Bloom is a double A produced sequel to the hit game Kanpani Girls. In this gacha game, play as a mercenary company's new boss as you recruit and play throughout this multiversal JRPG story.
What I Did
For Kanpani Girls Re:Bloom I worked on the localization team professionally. There, I translated and rewrote dialogue, menu options, etc. Alongside that, I edited other translators’ work to ensure the correct tone and personality of the characters was preserved.
What I Learned
I learned so much from working on this project. I had the honor of writing dialogue and seeing how it functioned directly in-game. The experience of working with a client who could change names and direction taught me flexibility, consistency, and collaboration. Editing other writers’ work also helped me recognize common writing tendencies and my own areas for improvement.
I also gained experience writing uncommon but critical text such as pull phrases, and learned from the official App Store launch back in October.
